Swank and Chad lowe have decided to divorce after 8 years of marriage. After separating, the couple tried to reconcile but failed. How sad...:cry: Now they continue to be friends and have the utmost respect for one another. I dont know the reason why they divorced though.

8 years is a lot of time and sometimes relationships just have a shelf life. I'm glad they're supposedly still friends. Much better than the Denise Richards Charlie Sheen fiasco.

I would guess in that situation, what they wanted changed. He may have wanted kids, and she is at the pinnacle of her career. Who knows. Its too bad though, they seemed very sweet together- but almost like brother and sister. Maybe that was the problem?

I think it was something to do with her career totally taking off, while his never did much of anything. Now she is a big star, and he wants her to be a housewife and it's just not working out...they are in different places in their lives trying to live together. Too bad though.

That is really sad!:sad: I hope it didn't have anything to do with the fact that she is hotter than him (working) in Hollywood. I really have a problem with a man NOT being man enough to handle the fact that his woman makes more.

I thought they made a good couple, but I agree, they were clearly at different points in their careers. Oh well... that's life though... I still hope they work it out and they find happiness, if not with one another, with someone else.
