I read the Twilight series, the Sookie Stackhouse series and long ago the Ann Rice books.....are there any other comparable vampire themed series' out there?
I've seen some (vampire) books at Target and just don't want to take the chance at them being really bad and cheesy! :P

Looking for recs!!

It's not for everyone & the earlier books seem to be more action oriented than the latter books which border on soft-core porn to me, but the Anita Blake Vampire Hunter series was a mostly enjoyable read.

Anita Blake vampire hunter series is my guilty pleasure...once that hooks you, you might want to try laurell k hamilton's meredith gentry series.

Black Dagger Brotherhood

Sounds interesting!

Also... you didn't think the Twilight series was cheesy? :P

True!

Thanks for the suggestions everyone!

Not a series but the book Lost Souls by Poppy Brite. It's not cheesy and probably more brutal and violent than Twilight (I've never read or watch Twilight so I'm just assuming here). Not vampire but supernaturalish is also another novel of her is Drawing Blood.
