Which one?

Ihave tried .19 at the store and it looked beautiful. I want to get two similarones – one for my mom for mother’s day so we could play matchy matchy!

Iwanted to see the next size up and price and this is what I received from mySA. Please give me your wonderfuladvise. ? Would there be a big difference between .19 and .26?I can't compare coz they don't have it in house. Maybe I could get my mom .26? I don’t knowwhat I am thinking right now. PLEASE HELP. What would you do?

I havepaired up with a member of our fine jewelry department and this is what we havefound. We have two DBY pendants in a .19. There is a price different betweenthe two based on the specifications.
1.
$1,450 (F colour VSI) .19
2.
$1,500 ( F colou VVSI) .19

The next size available is .32 and .33

The prices for these two are as follows:
1.
$2,150 (G colour VSI) .26
2. $2,150 (G colour VSI) .26

Ifyou decide on the .19 we would have to bring one in for you from anotherlocation. If you decide on the .26 we would also have to bring these two in, aswe do not have this size available.

Maybe one of each and see them both in person?
If you go with different sizes, you can borrow your mom's if you need the larger size for a separate occasion...

Personally, I would see the size difference between the two but I'm sort of particular that way. And the smaller diamonds will be a touch more sparkly, although G is none too shabby!

Here's a carat to mm conversion chart

That will allow you to figure out the difference in diameter. You can also cut out small circles the same size as your options and put them on your neck, to see if you notice / appreciate the difference at the distance a person would nornally view them from.

Do you know the cut of the stones? Assuming they are all the same, I would go for the .26 cttw. I had a .14 cttw for years, and I was somewhathappy with the size. However, I always felt that DBTY looked best between .25 cttw and .30 cttw. Well, my husband bought me a preloved Tiffany DBTY .32 cttw for my birthday, and I couldn't be happier. There is a chance that you may feel the .19 cttw stone is a little small in a few years, because of the perseption of "diamond shrinkage."

Thank you! I sent them an email requesting to see it in person.

Unfortunately, I don't know the cut. Do you think .26 would still look good if layered ..for example with Cartier amulette? Thank you :smile1:

I have a 0.3 carat dbty and I layer with lots of different necklaces. I think it's substantial enough on its own and looks great layered too.

I think the 0.26 carat would look good with the Cartier amulette.

Thank you ladies for all the help. I bought two sizes .19 and .26 .. Showed my mom and she wanted .19 so I am rocking the .26 rock! LOL
