I check this site everyday and have purchased from them (absolutely no problems ever) and I noticed an Hermes Birkin for sale, but only accepting a wire transfer or bitcoin.

While I am not going to purchase this bag ($27K), I admit to knowing nothing about Bitcoin. Also not being able to pay for an item with a CC concerns me. Has anyone else noticed this on any re-sale sites?

FWIW, I find AFF’s prices for Hermes bags excessive ($25k for a togo Birkin 35 in a standard color??). Also the all-sales-final, no returns, no exchanges for these bags. And the fact that no credit card payments allowed essentially means no recourse if there is a problem.

I used to like AFF but these policies for Hermes bags raise too many red flags.

I'm confused as I am looking at AFF's "Forms of Payment" (https://www.annsfabulousfinds.com/pages/payment) and I don't see anything about Bitcoin, but do see that you can use a Credit Card and Paypal. Where did you see this information?

In regards to ANY digital currency, I am 100% against it .. PERIOD, end-of-story! Having worked in the Financial Services industry (back-office, IT .. for Trading, Accounting, Investments, etc.) applications, there is NO WAY that I would ever accept any crypto-currency .. to me, it doesn't exist. I think anyone who does?!?! .. you are subject to major-league fraud, it's way too unstable and it uses up way too much energy resources (significantly more than the traditional currency - cold, hard, cash)! Heck, even Elon Musk said he wouldn't accept crypto-currency as payment anymore (unless he's changed his mind yet again)!

AFF only does this for some items, usually H Kelly, Birkin or Constance. See the details in this link: https://www.annsfabulousfinds.com/c...20-20-hermes-fauve-barenia-faubourg-birkin-25

and the attached screenshot below

Ah .. well, I've never bought a Birkin from AFF, and honestly, I agree with you on the prices .. all of her prices are more than the other consignment places and it takes her FOREVER to pay you (although I've heard that Fashionphile has not been great lately)!!

There are SO many options nowadays to buy pre-owned that I feel that folks like AFF may suffer the fate of being a smaller-based company that hasn't really kept up with the technology, the products/brands and pricing ('cos it's not like you get the lion's share of the sale)!!

Just noting, I am not condoning a no return policy. I answered the question that was asked. I personally do not ever purchase items where I have no recourse should the item be inauthentic or otherwise not as described. That includes any crypto purchases.
