Rumer Wilis!

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association today announced Rumer Willis as its selection as Miss Golden Globe for "The 65th Annual Golden Globe Awards" to be telecast live on NBC on Sunday, January 13, 2008. HFPA President Jorge Camara made the announcement at a morning press conference. Traditionally, Miss Golden Globe, who assists in the Golden Globes ceremony, is the daughter of a well-known celebrity.

Rumer, age 19, is the daughter of two-time Golden Globe nominee Demi Moore and Bruce Willis, who received four Golden Globe nominations and a Golden Globe as Best Actor in a Television Series (Comedy or Musical) for "Moonlighting."

"We are delighted to have
Rumer Willis join us to celebrate 'The 65th Annual Golden Globe Awards,'" said Camara at the announcement. "Since both of her parents have enjoyed successful entertainment careers in the acting profession, she is doubly qualified to serve as Miss Golden Globe."

Rumer Glenn Willis was born August 16th, 1988 and currently resides in Southern California. She was named after British novelist Rumer Godden. She made her film debut at the age of five in the movie Now and Then. She continued acting alongside her parents in such films as Striptease, The Whole Nine Yards and Hostage. After graduating high school, she attended USC for a few semesters, until she decided to pursue acting full time. Since spreading her acting wings, Rumer has completed two films to be released in 2008. She most recently wrapped I Know What Boys Like opposite Anna Faris and Collin Hanks at Sony and the independent From Within directed by Phedon Papamichael, starring Adam Goldberg and Thomas Dekker.

why just because they're genetical parents, people have to make award for them! i don't understand...
unless it is someone like kate hudson who really "act" in movies and not like some of those girls who just appeared in 1 or 2 min scenes because of their parents....
