I bought my first pair of Gucci shoes 9 years ago. I still remember that feeling I got when I put them on. The air was different, I received compliments, I was proud every time I looked down. Even til this day I still have these shoes, and wear them.

Every time I put on a pair, I get a different type of feeling. They've also opened completely random opportunities in my business life as well.

I just wanted to know if this was just me?..I hope not lol

I would love to hear your experiences, and how you feel when you wear a pair.

My first pair of Gucci shoes were high-heeled laces-ups called Wimbledon and then a pair of boots called Devendre from the Babushka collection

I still have those shoes and they make me feel fantastic. I have a high instep so it's great that I can have a pair of heels that keep my foot in. They are also very dark grey, slightly more interesting than black (which they also came in) but fine to wear with black too (I usually wear black tights, jeans, trousers or leggings. My Devendre are so comfortable. After these I bought some Bettys which are my go-to party shoe (heels with a T-bar in red). To find comfortable heels was practically a miracle.

The ladies shoes used to be made by Sergio Rossi as it was a still a company owned by Kering but since Frida's departure the non-loafers are made through a different factory. I have bought some mid-heels, boots, clogs and loafers and I think the quality is still there most. What I enjoy now is that I can find more mid-heel, 2" or 3" heels that I can use everyday. And of course there loafers are the best. Possibly my favourite pair of footwear are my Dionysus boots in bright, metallic, brassy gold with crystal encrusted hardware, I feel like a cross between Puss in Boots and Louis XIV when I wear them, and I don't just keep them for parties  :sunshine: .

Always love your posts...a history lesson!
I have worn Gucci shoes for almost 40 years...mostly the original horse bit loafer. They were my work shoe and brightened up a horrid navy uniform. Very comfortable for all day wear. Did I feel special...you betcha!

I can't tell you how fantastic that is, you are a real Gucci girl through and through.

Papertiger, I can already tell your taste is magnificent. I know you light up any room with those Dionysus boots...they're so gorgeous.

Do you wear them on the regular?..They still look fresh out of the Gucci box.

I have rather a modest collection of Gucci shoes by some of our member's standards but I do have quite a lot of other brands too. Which other brands do you like and how they compare with how Guccis make you feel?

My Dionysus boots are only a couple of years old (2017? Have to check the thread) that's quite young to me. They are not in their box but in dust bags, stuffed with tissue paper and scrolled cardboard and still look very fresh after many wears. I had the soles covered when they were quite new and they've been fine. Interestingly I asked on here whether I should go for them and quite a few people said NO, ha ha. I wasn't sure about the very gold-gold in the pictures, but honestly with a long black or brown dress they can go day to night in the quirky Gucci way. Love them. Gucci had some lovely embroidered boots this past year but they didn't suit the shape of my leg quite as much.
