Hi! Owners of the Amulette de Cartier necklace in white mother of pearl, how has your necklace held up? Is the MOP still white and shiny? Do you baby it? I’m considering the XS size and also looking at the VCA sweet Alhambra MOP necklace. Do you think one style is more versatile than the other? Is the Amulette a classic piece?

Hi! I bought this necklace almost 10 years ago, in 2016-2017. It's STILL going strong, in fact I am wearing it now. Cost per wear must be in the cents by now, lol! It's very understated and the white MOP goes with lots of outfits, making it one of the most versatile pieces of jewelry. IMO it's less dainty than the sweet Alhambra and not nearly as common. I have actually never gotten it cleaned (though I guess I should), and it has held up very well, the MOP looks great. I'm very pleased with this piece - wish I had purchased the lapis version before Cartier discontinued it.

Do you wear it 24/7? I have one and I don’t, but I would rather since I like to live in my jewelry.

That’s great to hear!
