Hi louie- That diamond is not a good choice, It's loaded with mush, where the facets aren't clean & crisp.

I'm linking one from Good Old Gold. It's a bit smaller, 2ct, but the performance would be 1000 times better. On cushions you need an ASET, it will show you how bright the diamond is and if there's any leakage.

Don't be put off by the clarity, just ask GOG if it's eyeclean. It looks to me that it will be.

Carat weight on a cushion is really kind of deceptive. Yes this is a significantly smaller stone--carat weight and dimensionally. But at the same time, since they're very bottom heavy stones, in general, and they're just not a stone you can say has "expected" dimensions for the carat weight. They vary so wildly.

While the faceting on the JA is not for everyone, we'd need an ASET/IS to know for sure how well cut it is or is not. That GOG cushion is much nicer, much crisper facets, although it's a little deeper than I would've gone for.

If the stone is eye clean, I think it will be a real winner.
