Alphabetical date stamps not followed anymore?

Hi everyone, is it true that Hermes no longer follows alphabetical date stamps? I am asking this because I had a bag purchased from the Hermes boutique in Dubai Mall in late January 2019 which had date stamp T. Anyone had a similar experience? That only means date stamp C or D are not necessarily the latest/store fresh items.

For reference, this is the date stamp on toolbox 20 -

Also happened to me once.... and it was a Birkin! Turns out to be two years old not really a big deal though, so don’t worry, and enjoy your new toolbox!

A friend of mine got a 2-year-old Kelly too. Probably due to the less popular leather. But she is in love with it and that's all that matters.
