alpaca wool?

Trying to figure out whether to buy an alpaca wool coat.

Is it warmer than a regular wool coat? Does it remind you of a bathrobe? (Is it too fuzzy? Or is it chic?)

Any comments?

Alpaca is incredibly warm. It's somewhere between merino and cashmere in softness. The neat thing about alpaca is that people who have wool allergies can usually wear it without problems.

I spin and knit alpaca all the time and imho it's one of the best fibers for the price.

The sweater was too big so I've kind of abandoned the idea. Will let you know if things change.
