Hi...I have looked for threads on this but can't find...I want to buy the alma bb in de but have been put off by width and length/non adjustability of strap...so I ask...would the speedy 25 de strap look OK on the alma bb?
Thanks

I don’t know where my other part of the strap (there are 3 parts) of the speedy B strap is as I usually only use 2 parts to sling it as a shoulder bag. I just bought the new woven adjustable bandouliere strap and did some mod shots on alma BB.

For reference, I am 5’ / 1.5m tall and the bandouliere I am using is this:

I did a mod shot with the original speedy B 25 strap (short length with two segments only, as I don’t know where I placed the 3rd segment)

Comparing both straps (original alma BB and speedy B strap)

Personally I think alma BB is small, cute, dainty kind of bag that suits it’s original thin strap better. The D-ring hook itself is smaller than speedy too. As a mummy, it’s hard hold the bag by the top handles and my children at the same time. So hands-free option is very important to me.

Anyway, both straps are hard and cuts into the shoulder way too much when the load is heavy. The problem for AlmaBB is not so much of heavy load since there is a space limit, but the strap “hook” is by the handles so it is narrow. Hence, that helps to “cut” into my shoulder as I crossbody carry it. The original length is too long for me to side sling.

Hope it helps in your decision. From my past experience at LV SA, they do not allow you to buy straps of the bags you don’t own as they claim it destroy the original design of the bag. Judging by that, it would mean you have to purchase a speedy B in DE before you can get hold of the strap. Only recently do they sell straps as a stand alone item. Then again they only sell these fancy woven designs and not the DE or monogram type of straps on their website.
