Alma BB quality control issues?

Hi y’all, I finally got my hands on an Alma BB, which I have been lusting over for months, but I am not super happy with the stitching on the bag. Is this normal? Would you get a new one? It’s not terrible and I love the bag so much but IDK I feel like I should be 100% satisfied with the stitching to keep it.

In my opinion the stitching on the bag is fine. I’m not sure what you are saying is an issue? I have the monogram alma bb and the stitching on the back of the cloquette is about like yours. if you are not happy you could try to exchange but I dont think you will be able to find a better bag?

I can’t see anything wrong with your bag either including the stitching. The double stitch is perfectly normal and that’s how they secure the stitching so it doesn’t get loose.

I just got an alma bb in epi. I looked it over, of course, but not to this level of detail. I went back to look at it. Mine also has that double stitching at the base. Clochette looks the same as yours.

I believe that's called a back-lock stitch when it doubles up. I used to quilt.

I never read the text when someone asks about problems with the bag. I just look at pictures and try to find the flaws. Sometimes it's really easy to find flaws, and sometime I can't figure out the problem. In your case, I couldn't figure out the problem. Your bag looks great.

This is how machine stitching looks, the backside is always like that.
And as everyone else perfectly pointed out, the double stitches are needed on both the bag and the clocheette. Everyone does that, even Hermès.

I wouldn't worry about the 3 double stitch on the leather part near the base. I have a epi alma bb and also have this. Must be a LV thing they do. Plus back of my clochette stitching is like yours.

The stitching is completely normal. It’s called back stitching, all clothes, shoes, bags, etc has this. It’s to prevent the stitches from unravelling.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the stitches in the photos. But OP, if it isn't to your satisfaction, then do what you must !

Your bag is fine in my eyes! I saw two Alma bb and made a comparison between this two. One was fine and the other one had skew stitches and poor glazing.
Your one Is perfect in my eyes! Enjoy this little beauty
