Alma BB of PM?

Hi everyone !

I really need some advice. I was planning on buying an Alma BB in vernis. But now I'm not sure anymore, I think it may be really small, the problem is that I've never seen it in real life. That's why I was thinking that I also could buy the Alma PM because there's not that much of a price difference between the two.
I don't really need a big bag because I have a Speedy 30 which I use every day to hold all my stuff. I wanted an Alma to hold just my essentials like a wallet, my phone and stuff like that. I just don't know if an Alma PM is right for that small amount of stuff but the BB just seems really small. It would be of much help if someone could post some modeling pics of an Alma BB and tell me how much it can hold. I'm about 5'3" if that helps. I would also want to ask, is an Alma PM about the same size as a Speedy 30? I hope you guys can help me, I would be really thankful :D

I can do the "how much does an Alma BB hold" part of the question. :)
The pics below are for my epi-electric Alma BB (I would assume the size is the same). Click on the pics to expand them.

For scale, the red striped wristlet is obviously one of Coach's small wristlets (and the wristlet is fully packed). You can also see a small Coach wallet plus mini-skinny. And the long, dark, patent thing is a Lodis zipped-card-pouch. You can also see my clip-on sunglasses, a comb, cellphone, keys, a brown plastic bag folded up with a purple rubber band around it, and the yellow thing is an "epinephrin pen".

I had a look at the givre alma bb and yea its pretty darn small for the price. If u say the price difference is not that much i would definately go up to the PM. The bb would probably be a bag that fits ur very essentails like wallet, phone and keys. And prob with the wallet, maybe a smallish wallet- not like a sarah/zippy sized wallets. Although i don't own one im not exactly sure if they will fit nicely, but i have heard from a member that their zippy wallet didnt fit in the bb. Imo, the bb is pretty cute and if u have the extra money to burn and u really love the BB then go for it. Otherwise, i think pm would be a better choice as it seems like it would be more practical with the extra space

Thanks a lot for these pictures :smile1: they were really helpful. I can see that te Alma BB does carry a lot of stuff, I wasn't planning on carrying the same amount of stuff that you carry so I think the BB will definitely be big enough and the PM will be too big for me I think. Thanks again !!

You are right, I don't think that an Alma BB would fit a large wallet but lucky for me I'm using a ZCP so I think that will fit :smile1: I really like the Alma PM too but maybe I'll buy that one in the future, for now I think the BB will do for me. I really want the bb too but my mum keeps saying its too small so now im torn between either going ahead or just upgrading the the pm or get the sherwood.
Let me know how feedback is on the bag when u get it =]
and if i may ask, which colour are u planning on getting the bb in?

I have pm in amarante. It is a really good size for me. Not too big and not too small. Since it is structured, it does not hold as mych as the speedy30, but it still will hold my zcp, small kate spade agenda (thicker than lv small ring agenda), sunglasses in their case, small vera bradley cosmetic bag, keys...if need be, i can get a small folding umbrella in there. If i know i will be carrying it for long periods of time, i will not load it up quite so much.

i just visited my local LV today to see alma pm in givre and i totally love it..alma bb is only suitable for an evening bag or when you just want to go out and bring the cards,mobile phone or any small items.alma pm is a perfect size and i am about your tall.i dont like too small (alma bb) or too big (alma mm) handbag.

I may be the dissenter here, but I honestly thought the Alma BB looked like something for a little girl. Sorry for those of you that love it. It's really really little. I suppose for an evening out, but even then I thought it was a little "too precious" and "cutsey." Even my girls (27, 25 and 21) felt the same way and said they wouldn't carry it.

My recommendation is the PM. It's a gorgeous bag and not too big at all. Perfect size.

But I've decided to just go for the Alma BB because I think it's the perfect size for me, I already have enough big bags to carry my stuff and I really need a small evening bag and I think the Alma BB is perfect for that purpose. I'm going to pick it op on Saturday, I'm really excited :yahoo:
But someday I will get that Alma PM in vernis too :smile1:

I'm getting my Alma on Saturday in Givre. I called my nearest store today and they said that they only had the Givre in stock. I asked if they had a Rouge Fauviste but they hadn't and they didn't know if it would ever come back in stock so I just decided to go for the Givre because I think it's a very pretty color and it's also a color that goes well with the clothes I'm wearing :smile1:
I will definitely let you know what I think about the bag when I bought it and maybe I will also post pictures of what it can hold and modeling pics once I figure out how I have to do that :p I'm not really good with computers.
If I can give you some advice, if you really like and want the BB than just go for it, don't listen to your mum or anyone else, you have to carry the bag so you are the one who has to love it ;)
