Is it worth buying an Alma bb DE in 2023 considering the quality issues of LV canvas bags?

I’m new to LV so no expert but the Alma BB is a beautiful bag. I got two preloved and pristine. I don’t have any issues with my DE at all and it was made in USA not France. I also got one in black Epi made in France and love that one as well. I think it’s a classic bag. The durability is so nice and I also like that the Alma bb does have a decent amount of leather on it as well. Looks so prettyIn my opinion, LV canvas pieces are still totally worth it even with the insane price increases. They are so lightweight, durable, and beautiful and I have a canvas piece as old as from the 80s (my mom’s) and from this year and I don’t really notice the difference in quality (probably an unpopular opinion). I am looking to add one more Hermes bag in my downsized collection but looking at Hermes bags really makes me appreciate my LV canvas pieces. I love leather bags as well but omg the price difference lol. Here is my Alma bb in DE that I use a tonwith that being said, my SA did bring out 6 bags to choose from when I purchased this one. It didn’t really bother me much but I know some of those pieces had red stitchings showing from outside (if that makes sense).

Agreed!!I agreeI am actually surprised that LV hasn’t raised the price of Alma bb DE to over $2,000 usd! …. Yet. lol.
I'm referring to the glazing issues within months of usage.I think so, I haven’t had any issues with my canvas bags and it’s the majority of my collection….what issues are you referring to?
Weird, I haven’t had any glazing issues with my bags…I'm referring to the glazing issues within months of usage.
I’ve heard about that issue with certain canvas bags (ex, Pochette Métis before they fixed the issue I think?) but I don’t think I’ve heard of Almas having that same issue. I havent had any issues with my canvas bags but I’ve only had speedies, Almas, neverfulls, a keepall, Eva, and a vintage aurelia bag. They’ve all been insanely durable. If I understand correctly, it depends on how the corners of the bags are shaped, how the flap closes and how they rub against things ?I'm referring to the glazing issues within months of usage.
Yes .. I’ve got mine 2 months ago and I’m happy I have it and I’m using it. A very light weight and has a versatile style. I can use it in any situation even when I’m going to work in the morning and going out with my friends in the evening. Is it worth buying an Alma bb DE in 2023 considering the quality issues of LV canvas bags?
Wooow good for you to purchase a great piece in the airport. Congratulations to have that.I got my Alma BB DE at the CDG airport on the last day before the April 22 PI. My boarding has already started, so I just grabbed one without looking and run for my flight. It’s absolutely perfect, no issues whatsoever.
I also then purchased the èpi noir one on the evening before the PI in October![]()
