Alma BB Damier Ebene questions

Hello!
I’ve recently bought the Alma BB Damier Ebene and I couldn’t find an answer to my question. Is the leather on the lower side vachetta? If not, what kind of leather is it? Is it already treated? What is the type of leather that has the damier print, just normal treated canvas?
I’m asking this because I want to know how to treat it and protect, but I’m not sure if the bottom dark side is vachetta or not (handles as well). Thank you!

It’s all treated leather.

The Damier is not leather: it’s coated cotton canvas. The dark brown trimmings are treated cowhide. Follow Louis Vuitton’s advice on how to care for your bag: don’t apply any product to either the leather or canvas parts.

I recently brought my dream alma bb in damier bag! However as we're in lockdown in the uk I had to buy online so couldn't see it in-store first. Without comparing it to others I noticed on my bag the bottom panel's finish isn't completely smooth but has a 'wavy' finish. I believe the finish of the newer version (matt rubbery finish) is different to the material used in the past (shiny finishh). Could anyone shed any light on this, or if I should return it and get another one as it should not be the case? Thank you!
