Well, apparently she was at the store in New York on the 21st - she arrived in Ottawa much later that evening (the flight from NY to Ottawa is only 1 hour 20 minutes). It's not uncommon to have the receipt dated the next business day (when the credit card is charged/order is ready for pick up or shipment). I doubt that she would take such expensive items with her for a 1.5 day visit to Canada. This is fake news. She and her husband were in Canada meeting with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
They didn't check anything though.. that's why I'm trying to find out.Newsweek fact checkers say False!

Fact Check: Did Zelensky's wife spend $1.1 million at Cartier in New York?
Olena Zelenska, first lady of Ukraine, was claimed to have spent $1.1 million in a New York Cartier store.www.newsweek.com
Do you know any SAs from NY boutique? Did you check? An absolutely ridiculous assertion.
I didn't even watch the video. As soon as I saw a million dollars I was thinking...pfft LOLI can’t speak to the veracity of this claim, but it sounds so suspicious to me. Why would Cartier let an intern with two weeks experience work with such a high profile client? Doesn’t make any sense.
Starting a thread to spread fake news about an alleged expensive shopping spree by Zelensky's wife is highly political at a time when the U.S. is bitterly divided over continued government funding for the Ukraine war effort.
This garbage doesn't belong on tPF. I reported the thread as well and hopefully an admin will come along soon.
Allegedly Zelenska just walked in (probably incognito wearing sunglasses, etc.) and was initially helped by the first available SA.I didn't even watch the video. As soon as I saw a million dollars I was thinking...pfft LOL
The owners of this site are very very clear in the rules that they do not want any discussions involving politics period. There are plenty of other places on the internet where you can go to talk about Zelensky's wife and what she may or may not be spending. In a free society we should be able to ask questions
Wow that sounds great, but this privately owned forum is not "society," and it has rules against politics discussion. Which you are violating. Because there is no public interest in this person, other than her political relevance. I don't see a batch of other threads on individual private citizens' high spending at Cartier as a "question." Smear intended and easily detected, out of bounds here.In a free society we should be able to ask questions
