Dear tPFs!

This year I am celebrating an important anniversary, and can choose a watch for myself. I am lusting after a Cartier watch, and first was eyeing the ronde solo. But when I went to see it in IRL, I prefferred much more the Ballon Bleu. Now I have serious concerns :)
I really liked the basic BB in 33. However, my jewelry is gold and silver, and usually I exclusively wear either gold or silver; and never mix. I saw the bi-coloured BB, which is gold and silver, which is appealing... and then the one with diamonds... because I also like diamonds.
I am having a hard time to decide, because I believe the bi-colored one would match all my jewelry. However the basic silver one is modern and cute and more appropriate for everyday use.
My main question is: if one mixes gold and silver, does it look tasteless? Does anyone mix gold and silver?
Many thanks for your input!

I have a stainless and I love it. Mixing doesn't bother me. You could also get a trinity ring to tie in all the colors. A steel and gold is lovely too and then will match regardless. I don't think it's inappropriate for daily wear. Could you get one with dial markers? That's less flashy than the paved bezel.

Thank you! I am leaning towards the stainless steel one, because it's the one that looks casual and is appropriate for everyday use. For the mixed one, I need to try it on. Everything gold looks less casual and dressier.

They are both nice but my pick is the stainless BB. The two tone is nice but it does look dressier and then you have to be more careful not to bang up the gold links. They scratch pretty easily.

The mixed I felt would become dated after a while. It loses the chic tone of the BB and becomes a little busy.

I went with SS for its clean look and it mixes effortlessly with my gold jewelry. One day I'll have the gold version, but I'm very happy with my decision.
