Hello everyone! I've got a gala to go to the first weekend in March and I was planning on wearing my d'orsay JC Mariella heels. They are the gold fabric. While perusing Nordstrom last week I saw a JC WOC/clutch in the same material and really liked it!

My question is this: with a black cocktail dress, onyx/gold VCA Alhambra necklace and earrings, would both the shoes and clutch be too in your face? Thanks for your input! (only picture I have of the shoes right now is the attached picture which I took at my deb ball last year so pardon the limited view, just wanted to get the color across.)

Slight update: went to Polyvore and created mock outfits, for the first example it would just be the onyx earrings and necklace (Polyvore didn't have the onyx necklace so I had to substitute with mop). Is all the gold from the shoes, clutch, and potential jewelry too much? Again, would like to look glitzy but I'm thinking this might be too much?

I would wear this in a heartbeat! I like glitz, too but really think this is very classy.

Thank you thank you! Depending on the dress I'm still deciding between the onyx and the MOP. I definitely love glitz but I just don't want to be a Christmas tree! Also haven't got the clutch yet but it looks rather sizable so I hope it's not too matchy-matchy with the shoes.

The MOP looks nicer in combination with the JC shoes & bag. With the onyx it looks too matchy. Just my opinion. Im sure either way, you will look beautifull

Little update bc I always hate threads with no closure: went to my local Nordstrom and they did NOT have the gold clutch, only champagne and black and because the last time I ordered something with them it took about 2 weeks I didn't want to take a chance and pay $800 for a bag I might not use. Ended up going with a small gold Glint clutch, never heard of them before but it was extremely inexpensive and matched the shoes perfectly! Will be wearing the MOP over the onyx, thank you so much for your help!

Thanks for posting! Glad you found something that matched, and didn't break the bank.
