Alhambra dilemma

Which option should i go for?

Dear Purseblog forum community,

I would like to ask for your advice on my #firstworldproblem dillema for my push-present.

As a backstory, I currently own below VCA collections:
1. Full vintage Alhambra set in malachite (earrings, a single pendant necklace and 5-motif bracelet)
2. Incomplete mother of pearl set (magic earrings and sweet pendant)
3. Full sweet Alhambra set in carnelian

Dilemma:

I am choosing between 2 options for my push-present and keep going between back and forth of below options:

Option 1 (pricier option) - a full Alhambra set in Onyx
Magic Alhambra earrings in Onyx
Vintage Alhambra necklace in Onyx (10 motif)
Vintage Alhambra bracelet in Onyx (5 motifs)

My reasoning for this option is obviously having a full and complete set in Onyx.

Option 2:
Sweet Alhambra watch in guilloché
Vintage Alhambra bracelet in mother of pearl
My reasoning for this option is that the watch will go with any of my current sets by just change the leather straps on it. And MOP bracelet will make my mother pearl collection complete. This would be more casual pieces that i can get more wear of.

Would appreciate your advice!

Option 2 seems nice because owning one set of Alhambra is enough to do a bit of mix and match.

It is interesting to branch out and try other collections from VCA. A watch seems nice.

Since it seems like you'll eventually have both, which is more suited for your lifestyle at the moment? While onyx is a favorite of mine, do you see wearing a full set in the near future? If not, maybe the second option is more practical. Maybe that's how to guide the decision.

yes, i wear my VCA as sets, not really into mixing different stones. I’m definitely going for Onyx.

Both options are nice. I am not a set person but of the two options I prefer the onyx set since it feels like a ‘gift set’ versus getting 2 pieces to complete your current sets. And it will feel so special while worn.
If you think you might buy these pieces at some point anyways would you consider instead getting one really special piece to mark the celebration? I have gotten 3 push presents for my kids, which I wear together daily, and the pieces are so special to me. The onyx set or a special watch would fit in this category too but just suggesting an alternative option of getting one piece with the combined budget.

Thank you! I have decided to go for Onyx set (maybe with vintage pendant though so i can wear it day and night) and get the magic or 10motif necklace later. I have also decided that i will start collecting limited edition pendants to mark each year since the baby was born. ☺️
