I just bought my first pair last week and I think they are fabulous. The retail was $1110, but I got them for 30% off. I haven't worn them yet, but they seem to be very well made and great quality. The box they came in is really cool too.

alaia are unique and what i'd call "european sexy" but quite expensive...i have a pair, but i didn't buy them for retail.

I have a few pairs of Alaia's and I like them! My oldest ones, some python flats from a year or two ago seem to be holding up well. My newest ones, some metal flats, are exquisite - I'm traveling right now or I'd take pics...
