Air pocket in mini

I just bought a new black lambskin classic mini (rectangular), and I absolutely love it, but I noticed that there’s a bit of air between the bottom of the lining and the bottom of the bag (like an air pocket). Is this normal?

It is normal. The lining is not glued down and these bags are made so that the lining can be pulled out.

The lining used to be very tight to the base of the bag but recent bags seem to have air pockets. My classic flap from about 12/13 years ago was very neat on the base but recent flaps I’ve bought have “baggier” lining.
