Hi everyone! I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy.

So I started getting the "itch" for a new handbag again. Recently I moved and had closets made that allowed me to really see what I own. I decided to dutifully use each of my handbags and test out which make me happy and are useful and which are just useful/cool in theory. A few of them I decided to let go of and sell through Fashionphile. I decided to accept payment in the form of credit and quickly started perusing Hermes. Originally I wanted 30cm in a funky color (I already own black and bleu nuit). I wanted excellent condition. What did I wind up with? 35cm in Geranium in "very good" condition. I just got her so she's not even here yet. What makes me so nervous is they post a pic of the bag with the box but make no mention of it in the description of what it comes with, though it seems like a complete set, w/ raincoat, etc. Did they just forget to mention it? Seems weird they'd take the time to pose it with the box if it didn't come with it. Also, am I crazy but why did only 40 people "love" the bag? It was listed long enough to have a reserve option. Usually popular bags get likes right away. And lastly, the bag is listed as very good condition but aside from the slightly visible corner wear/darkness on the bottom of the bag that is likely easy to fix at H spa, I don't see anything but a practically brand new bag. She's still so taught and fresh looking. And isn't geranium a super bright red? Why are the photos so dull?

HELP! I can't call them as it's the weekend and I'll be biting my nails all weekend wondering about this. Also, do you think about $13,500 plus tax was a fair price for it? It seems on the expensive side for a pre-owned 35B these days. My plan regarding authenticity is 1- I believe 99.5% it is authentic based on the photos 2- I will do an independent verification with bababebi once i receive it and 3- I will take it in to be serviced. I love getting my bags serviced! But there's so much more to worry about than authenticity (although that one is most important to me). I worry I will somehow be disappointed or surprised by color or condition. Any thoughts? Advice? opinions?

The description says it comes with the lock, clochette, two keys, rain coat and dustbag. The picture with the box could mean you'll be getting that too. I'm sure if you call them they can tell you exactly how it shipped. There's a picture of the bag being held by the mannequin which shows the color best.

I agree that that price for a B35 in the current market is pretty high. They have several similar colors in B30 at lesser prices...is there a reason you didn’t consider those? I would not currently pay retail or above for a B35 as I believe one can currently get them fairly easily at the store for retail. I would also not settle for a B35 if I actually wanted a B30. Good luck deciding.

This blogger, Tamara, has a clemence (i believe?) B35 in geranium with palladium hardware that looks absolutely gorgeous like a ripe red cherry. Mine is togo with gold hardware so there should be much difference in dye. You're right, I think the mannequin shows truest color. And H colors are usually complex and change tone according to lighting. That washed out lighting on the website really dulls some colors. I also do believe that the copy writer just forgot to add box to the list. I really wouldn't understand it if they took a photo with something that wasn't supposed to be there.

I saw that they mention on the "Details" to include dust bag, clochette, lock, 2 keys, and rain coat. As far as I know, that's the real Geranium color.
not this? this is geranium clemence and mine geranium togo. but i believe it is brighter than the photos by fashionphile make it appear.

the only one i see listed that comes close is the bougainvillea 30cm but it seems like a less poppy red and i don't like clemence in smaller sizes. it also is listed as having "faded spots" which is confusing, as I don't necessarily see any. my black B is a 35 so im comfortable with that size. I also think I was just being ridiculously impatient (which is why i bought online! :graucho:) and figured that id love this combo bag and that you cant go wrong with H.

Firstly I do think it is reasonable to have concerns when you buy any items via internet or mail order.
However, you have done the deed, so try to be optimistic
rather than thinking about all the possible reasons why you might not be happy with your purchase.

If you are not satisfied and the bag is not what you expected, then seek advice on the best thing to do,
but try not to use your mental energy getting upset about a disaster that has not happened.
Enjoy the anticipation of a bag you will love.

Thank you! I’m always the jump in and ask questions later type. I both love and hate that about myself!

Geranium always felt like a muted orange-based red to me, so if that appeals to you then I hope this bag is what you wanted.

Fashionphile has a 30 day return policy, which actually means you end up with closer to 20 days to change your mind from the time of delivery.

If you have urgent questions about the box, send FP a private message on Instagram with your order information. They are very responsive there.

yes, i like that it's kind of neutral and also a funky color...meaning i wanted something a little more unique than a traditional ROYGBIV color chart red. something a little more nuanced and exotic. i think i'll be happy with the color. I was just kind of getting cold feet about all the details of it.

Tamara's B35 is Novillo leather which is a lot different than Togo or Clemence leather. Colors generally pull brighter on leathers like Novillo, Epsom, Swift, Jonathan, evercolor etc. All these leathers tend to have a smooth texture with a subtle grain or are completely smooth. Togo and Clemence leather tend to have the color slightly more muted. The smoother the leather the more it will reflect the shade while the more pronounced the grain the more it absorbs light and colors tend to appear a bit deeper. Regardless Geranium is a beautiful and fun shade of red and looks great in all leathers :)

Thanks! She kept calling it Taurillon which I assumed was clemence. You’re right, it looks super smooth. I had a swift Kelly once and the color of it (noisette) was so rich and lovely like a caramel candy. I think I’ll be happy with geranium especially with gold hardware. now to make sure she’s as lovely in person!

I know what you mean, Taurillion is usually referenced to Clemence leather, Novillo is sourced the same! I hope you love your new Birkin <3
