Agonizing over whether to get the classic love again

Hi friends,

I had the classic love some time ago and made the mistake of polishing it - when the patina was gone, it no longer felt like mine, but it was something I got at 19 that I felt defined my younger days in a personal way. I ended up selling it and later had the 4 diamond and 10 diamond bracelets, which were great.

I sold those when I got the pavé. It didn't seem like they stacked well due to the difference in thickness, and with two non-pavé ones and the pavé one, it felt like two of them were "correct" and the other was an aberration.

I love my pavé and wear it almost every day, but I do miss the charm of the classic (no diamonds). I am trying to ascertain whether it makes sense for me to repurchase it. I would probably still wear the pavé with it much of the time (if not all of the time) and so I'm not sure if I'm going to achieve something that is going to make me happy or feel like I made a mistake. I've got a couple of photos of this and want opinions. I do imagine I'd keep the pavé up front.

Also - I wear a lot of pavé these days (three rings - love, clou & panthere) and the bracelet, so maybe this will "cut" it a little bit to make it less ostentatious ... and as I type that, I feel silly.

My vote is to get it. If it’s been weighing on your mind this much, then I think you should get it. You’ll always want it and the charm it brings. Plus it will be nice to have when you aren’t wearing the pave.

I voted no only because you mentioned the height difference of the bracelets bothered you. I feel like even if it was 1 to 1, there’s a chance it might still bother you. Other than that, I actually like the contrast between the metal and pave. Or maybe you could consider passing on the regular love and get a second pave later since you obviously enjoy pave.

I don't mind the height differences -- but if it is something that is going to weigh on you, I'd pass on buying it again.

Does look pretty silly because of the height difference, wouldn't get it. If you'd like to stack exchange the full pavé to 2 SM ones if possible.

Agree, I prefer asymmetrical, odd numbers and overall imperfections lol

I really like them together. I think I'd like the regular love closer to the hand and the pave second.
If you don't like them together but have your heart set on the classic, you can always wear them on different wrists.
Imo you really can't go wrong!

I think your pave looks good on its own. However, seeing the pave with the reg love on your hand, I actually think it looks even better. I feel the shiny plain of the reg love against the pave brings more attention and the pave stands out more for some reason.

And well, if it’s good enough for Drake, it’s definitely good enough for the rest of us!

I’d say getting the reg love is heavy on your mind, and tbh I think you’ve already made your mind up. Who cares what anyone else thinks if you like it, go for it.

Or, if pave is what you really like more and you’re just adding the reg love for the sake of buying another or for stacking then I would save up and put that money towards another pave. As long as you wear it then it’s not a waste of money. And of course decide and get it before the price increase!!!

Thank you all very much! I am still a little torn. I was hoping to make a decision before the potential price increase but it does occur to me that in the scheme of things, a few percent shouldn't be what causes me to rush to make a decision. I'm going to try this on again at the store with a friend or two and will decide then!

After quite a bit of consideration, I went back to the store to try it again. The patient SA was very kind as I played with this idea. Ultimately, I did not thing repurchasing this at this time was going to make me a lick happier than I already am, so I've decided to pass. Thank you all for your input!
