I purchased it myself and the engagement ended. It's a larger solitaire and internally flawless. GIA certified.

I'm based out of New England. Any recommendations? I'm extremely nervous about getting scammed.

Could you repurpose the stone? Maybe in a pendant, or different ring design? You will likely not get the full value of the stone if you sell it. There are consigners out there, Jewels by Grace is one although there will be a fee to pay.

You could also see if your jeweler would let you "trade" it back to them for some other stone--if you can't get cash.

Get a sapphire ring, a different diamond to put in a pendant....

I had a Hearts on Fire VVS1 that I tried to sell and I lost over half its value, so in many ways its better to just hang onto it....

I would even try eBay. Yes, it can be nerve wrecking but with the authenticity program, you could find a good buyer.
you will have to absorb a loss, though:flowers:

Depending on the stone size there are sites like worthy.com that buy rings (I know they won't take less than 1ct stone however, if that applies to your particular stone.)

There’s also a site that sells jewelry you got from an ex (name escapes me but they apparently sell a lot of stuff from broken engagements and all that - perhaps try a Google search?). Again as many have posted above - your best bet is to repurpose it vs selling it because it will be difficult to get a lot for it vs what you paid. Or trying selling it here on marketplace?
