Advice on lambskin WOC quilting puffiness?

Hi! Long story short, I purchased a WOC at a boutique and after taking it home, I realized the flap was completely crooked. The store exchanged it for me for a new one (left), but I realized that the quilting on the new one isn't as "puffy". It also has some minor scratches on the outside, and notable creasing under the flap. The one pictured on the right is what the quilting is supposed to look like (I brought it into a Saks to compare), but I can't exchange mine for the one on the right because the original WOC I bought was from a Chanel boutique. I really love the look of the extra puffy quilting, so it makes me sad that mine doesn't have that luxe look. But I've also heard that lambskin quilting deflates overtime, so is it actually a good thing that mine is less puffy to begin with, because it might be less susceptible to dimpling?
This one was $4225. I am looking for a small lambskin bag that I can wear casually or dress it up for weddings or other formal events. I love that the strap is adjustable but it is more expensive than the classic WOC, so wondering if I should consider other styles altogether? I'm new to Chanel and this is my 2nd purchase, the other bag I have is caviar. Any advice or wisdom from similar experiences would be appreciated!

Can you still return the one you got at the boutique and then purchase the one at saks? Don't settle for a piece you don't love, you'll always regret it. I really like the one in the right as well, looks so lush.

If you're unable to return it and buy the one at Saks, could you show your SA this picture and ask her to find a puffier one for you to do another exchange? You're spending a lot of money and should love the bag.

The quilts do deflate but that happens after a long time, as far as I know. I've seen bags that are 6 years old and still very puffy. :shrugs:

If you're not happy, take it back. I don't see any issues personally, and I think if people look close enough they'll definitely find some! The one on the left has the chain under it, so it's not at the same lighting angle as the one on the right.
However, every skin is different so the puff and sheen can differ. So, if you're not happy, take it back! No need to keep anything you don't love imo.
