Advice on GG Marmont Animal...Pleas

Hi,
I have never bought a Gucci handbag before, I as a general rule buy Fendi Spy Bags or Alexander McQueen Clutches but have fallen in love with this Gucci GG Marmont Animal. I have been looking at them on Farfetch and SSense.
Does anyone have this particular bag and could you tell me what you think of it please. Is it a stunning bag, and have a good weight to it. Any advice would be grateful appreciated thank you

This release is gorgeous. During my travels, I tried it on in a boutique and love it of course! I was more in love with the belt bag though, and opted for that one instead.

A couple more opinions about this piece: I would much prefer something I could wear cross-body. No matter how many times I say I love carrying shoulder or arm, eventually I want a cross-body option. Also, I am moving away from too many flap bags as well. Sometimes they just become annoying...but I think that depends on the bag itself.

The marmont studs came in a camera bag that zipped similar to the bag you are interested in, but they are different enough to get you to wonder which one to pick!

Thank you JazzyMac this helps a lot....I don't know if I have seen the camera bag you have spoken of is their a picture somewhere I could see it...lol....think as you said might want both but would need to win the lottery I think. I did love the belt bag but not use to having something around my waist hence why went for this particular shoulder bag, plus this one does not have the loins on it not to sure about those. I have never seen this bag or the others in the collection in "real life". I really do appreciate you taking time to answer my question

The bag is gorgeous. At first I thought there was a lot going on with all the animals/hardware, but when shopping with my daughter one day she noticed the smaller crossbody and indicated she really wanted it. We bought it and within a month I found myself buying the belt, the belt pouches (there are at least three different sizes that fit on the belt) and many other pieces that match like the rings etc... as with many things Gucci these days...its an amazing work of art and also very well made...quality is superb. This particular line is absolutely stunning though! Hope this helps!

It's a very cool, one of kind bag. Great thing about GG marmont is that it's light weight & fits more than you think. Very practical & this one is very unique. Farfetch offers very easy free return so you can always send it back if you're not happy with the purchase.

HermesFanKelly that really helps a lot.....I am afraid know nothing about Gucci Handbags, as said always bought Fendi or Alexander McQueen....but this one like you said is a work of art and completely caught my eye. I appreciate your comment on the quality as ashamed to say never even pick up a Gucci bag before I don't know why I guess you stick to bags you love but have to say think this one is soooooooooo stunning, and quite different which I love thank you so much

Thank you Monique1004 ....I have bought from Farfetch in the past many years ago, and of course me being in the UK and this bag will be posted from the UK no customs. I love the fact of the different insects on the bag makes it quite different and might seem weird but I find it interesting and stunning. I wonder if it wears well and does not tarnish although it would be a bag for a special occasion and not an every day bag.

Here is the camera bag. The black and white was on Saks Fifth Avenue. These bags kind of "snuck in, and snuck out". I mean that I didn't see a lot of threads on it even though I noticed that day by day they were getting sold out! When I was finally able to go to a Gucci boutique, the SA told me that they were a huge hit...but of course the SA's job is to sell, right? They are definitely a sight! I love, love it!

Going back to find the camera bag, and I'm wondering if I should have gotten the camera bag instead of the belt bag! Oye! But I know I made the right decision because of the "Gucci Flair"...weird bugs, belt bag, now I just need a funky hat to go with everything!

I go to Gucci when I want that "Gucci Flair" is what I call it. Most of my life is nice and toned down...no labels, bags that you can't tell what it is on the outside, etc.
