The link is to a semi mount that I'm head over heels in love with. My question is, I'd really love to have a champagne diamond as the centre stone. I used to hate champagne coloured stones, but as time has gone by I've made a complete hypocrite out of myself and fallen head-over-heels in love with them! So, what's your opinion? Do you think it would go or not? Please be honest ladies, Whilst the semi mount is fairly cheap, the dimonds I'm looking at to go in the centre, aren't. So what do you think? Honestly? Would you put a champagne diamond as the centre stone to this ring? If not, please tell me why not. Also, I'd love to hear your suggestions as to what you'd put in the centre. Thanks!

I'm going on the lighter side of champagne. M at most. I'm wondering if it would be worth asking the jeweler if they could make the semi mount in YG as opposed to WG. I think YG is so much better with champagne diamonds. What do you think?

I love champagne diamonds set in RG. it's a great tone it picks up the pinky tones in the champagne diamond and offsets any brown tones. I find YG picks up the yellow tones (obviously!) :D

a yellow diamond would be gorgeous too :graucho:

I definitely think that YG or RG would be a better option for a champagne diamond than a WG mount. Additionally, you will want to make sure there is enough colour in the center stone to make it a clear difference between the halo/band and the center so that it looks intentional. Otherwise, I think it will look fantastic!

Sure, I think it would work, as long as the color difference was definitely noticeable.

I don't know that manufacturer, but I would think it could be easily recreated elsewhere.

Champagne diamonds are graded by number C1-7

It would be very pretty in that setting.

Champagnes are my very favorite diamonds. For a long time, we could scoop them up inexpensively because no one wanted them. Those days are over! :-(
