Advice for shoulder strap that keeps slipping ?

Hi, I have a chocolate brown large Coach duffle from last fall and while I love the style and the leather is lovely, it is also very slippery ! The shoulder strap keeps slipping off my shoulder ! Argh ! Is there anything I could wrap around the strap to give it more grip ?

I wouldn't put anything on a leather strap unless I was sure it wouldn't hurt the bag... I seem to hold on to the strap of my shoulder bags alot to keep them from slipping.
