Sorry if there is a better place for this I could not find a relevant thread using search.

Need help in terms of what leathers to ask for next bag wishlist.

questions:
What leathers are water resistant? Is Togo water resistant? Swift?
What leathers are stain resistant?
are the box leather lookalikes tadelakt and sombrero (other?) also as badly water delicate? How do they age compared to box?

For context, my limited leather experience with H:
clemence-love the smell and feel, love the water resistance, can literally wipe new marks/stains off quickly with a wet paper towel and leaves nothing behind, but slightly annoyed at how it’s drooping within less than a year (I know that's how it's supposed to be but still).
evercolor- have an SLG in this, but no bags, seems super stain resistant, dropped the light color slg on the dirty ground outside and no marks at all, but not as luxe feeling as clemence.
Chèvre-the inside of my Birkin is probably this and while it looks really nice it got color transfer from something that cannot be cleaned off so I’m not sure I’d want a bag where the outside is this
evergrain- the bag itself is super functional but it got scratched up so easily, probably not water proof but I wiped off quickly. Would not want something with similar characteristics

Appreciate all the much more expert opinions here!

I applaud you for desiring to diversity your H leather portfolio. It truly is one of the best elements of the H ownership experience. Here are my thoughts on some leathers that I like (and the reasons why):
1. Ostrich: a wonderful skin that looks especially stunning in lighter colors, is tougher than one might believe, and is striking in its rarity. I can't say enough good things about this- it took me far too long to add an ozzy piece but I'm so glad I did and I'll never part with it. It is actually a very resilient and hardy skin.
2. Togo: I think that everyone needs to experience one of the H leathers that has some element of veining. That means togo, or the sadly discontinued fjord. Some don't like this veining but it can be absolutely mesmerizing. Fjord has more striking veining than togo, and the veining in togo can be inconsistent (some bags have little, some have more), but both of these leathers are very tough and resilient to scratches and all kinds of weather.
3. All H leathers tend to be very tough but if you want a leather that can withstand repeated downpours and never show it then get negonda. As far as I know it is only found on the garden party but it is a leather that could be in a hurricane and look brand new after drying naturally. I know from experience.
4. A rare skin that I find absolutely mesmerizing is peau porc. It is also surprisingly tough (it is pigskin) and has textural visible elements that are utterly unique both generally and within H. It is rare- it was discontinued for many years prior to a recent comeback- but it is a special leather and beautiful to behold.
5. I am a fan of all kinds of chevre, whether the traditional ones (mysore/coromandel) or the newer, shinier chamkila. I have found chevre to be a leather ages gracefully and has a wonderful touch and grain.

Swift is said to be water resistant. I have a 2006 Birkin in gold swift and rain drops do get absorbed if they sit on the bag a bit. Once in dry condition the drops (that got a slightly greenish tint) dried up without a trace. But based on this I wouldn't use it when I know it rains.

I own and love Clemence for exactly the reasons you stated above and I guess Togo has the same characteristics.

Smooth Barenia is amazing, but very prone to scratches.

I found my Chevre SLGs to get indentations very easily, so I won't be getting a bag in Chevre anytime soon.
