I would like to start wearing my solitaire necklace again, but have a couple of issues. I am sure you experts on here can help me!

My diamond is just under 1 ct., in a yellow gold prong setting. What bothers me is how quickly the diamond gets moved/wrapped around my neck, sometimes pulled by my necklace clasp, but not always. It drives me crazy! I don't want to have to fix my necklace every hour, and I don't want to have to worry about it. I just want to enjoy it, and know that it is laying properly in the right place. So, what can I do? Is it a matter of resetting it, or do I need a different chain, or both?

Thank you in advance for any help. :smile1:

I'm not that much of an expert of diamond jewelry but of the few that I do have and of the necklaces/pendants that I do have I've never had this problem…so…

I'm going to say that its
the length of the chain- I feel like the higher the chain is (on your neck) the less likely its going to move.

I was going to say that you might want to get a new chain- but I'm assuming its a nice quality chain and I'm not sure how much thats going to help. I guess light weighted chains are more likely to move around more than heavy weighted chains...

Maybe you could take a picture of your necklace- that always helps :)

The chain is 18 inches, a version of a snake chain. I have never posted a pic here as I don't know how, if I figure it out I certainly will! Are there directions somewhere Swanky?
