I just got my vca bracelet today and I am so in love. My question for everyone! Did you adjust your bracelet or let one of your motifs dangle like in the pic? I’m a little worried about it getting damaged but I purchased my bracelet in Boston and I don’t have a VCA near my home in San Francisco. I’m a little nervous about sending it out for adjustment. Do you leave yours dangling? How does it look?

For me, I didn’t shorten as I intended to have it link to my 10 motif necklace.
I usually stack it with my perlee signature bracelet and tuck the dangling motif in it to stop the dangling, so it doesn’t bother me.

If you only want to wear as a bracelet then shortening it is best.

What can you live with ? VCA is a forever purchase... if you do shorten, make sure you have enough length to be able to put on your own bracelet without struggling. You want a little movement or room so you don't get indentions in your skin in the shape of clovers. Unless that's your thing, then do you. Make sure that VCA is the only place that does the adjustments. Keep the extra links and clovers... you might need them for adding to the VCA Alhambra necklace you will purchase or receive as a gift from someone in your future.

I wouldn't hook it that way for a motif to dangle. But I also wouldn't size it to fit that tight. I think they are meant to be at least a little loose. My wrist is 6" and my bracelets are generally 7", but I think my VA bracelet came at 7.5" so it is slightly looser than I prefer. But I have kept it at it's original length also due to it being so much trouble to send to VCA to remove 1/2 inch. If it can slip over your hand when fastened the regular way, then I would definitely have it shortened.

I shortened mine. Had to send it out twice to get it to the right length. Love it and wear it every day. If you shorten it make sure to get equal lengths taken out between the motifs or else it will not hang right on your wrist. That's what happened to me after it came back the 1st time and drove me crazy. Pretty sure I posted pics.

Shortened. For sure. I don’t like it to hang or have too much movement. I don’t like it banging against things and dislike things touching my palm. Just contact the SA that you purchased from. They will send you a label and you can ship it free of charge to wherever VCA tells you to ship for shortening. Easy peasy. SF is very nice but maybe more red tape to shorten if you didn’t buy from them.

Thank you everyone! I heard that a lot of people allow the motif to hang and it just felt very awkward to me too. Glad to hear it wasn't just me! I am definitely going to get it shortened. Shout out to @jpezmom for the SA referral at SF Neimans!
