Hi ladies!
I'd taken a break from Cartier for years after "completing" (for the time being - then still fresh in my career
) my foundation everyday stack - YG 4 diamond love and YG plain love on my right arm. I also have a YG plain love cuff that I occasionally stack on the left arm with an Hermes CDC or Kelly double tour bracelet, but the occasions where I whip out the Hermes bracelets are few and far in-between, especially in this pandemic.
I've loved the regular diamond JUC FOREVER even though I was always on the fence about its price but I'm kicking myself for not biting the bullet and getting it earlier when it was around the HKD7X,XXX to 8X,000 mark. It's now gone up to HKD98,000 and, if a price increase happens in HK sooner this year, who knows what it'll go up to.
At the same time, I've always wanted to add a 10 diamond YG love to my stack one day, but given the price diff (HKD126,000 currently), that was more a distant fancy rather than something I had thought about spending right now. I know it's not a huge difference but the thin line between 5 and 6 figures does do a number on my head I guess! However, stalking threads here about similar topics, I've seen advice to buy the more expensive item first + stacking all loves is more carefree/worry-free than stacking JUC + loves IRL which has kind of swayed me towards the 10 diamond love too. I've also seen comments about the JUC not being comfy as a 24/7 piece for some people, but if I were to get it, I would definitely want to wear it 24/7.
I have tried on the JUC briefly in person but don't have the opportunity to see how it really sits and feels stacked for longer than 1 min at the store, or a few mins trying on my friend's JUC. I'm also aware of the JUC potentially sliding over the love when stacked even if it's sized down correctly from the love, and I am super OCD about scratches even though I'd had my loves for so long. Wearing the JUC on my left hand may be the more practical option which I could stack with the love cuff - but it still leaves me wanting to add to my 2-love stack on the right arm as I feel they're looking a little lonely these days
. I will also add a tennis bracelet in the future but want to focus on Cartier right now given the prices of diamonds may be more stable than the ever-frequent price increases across all the luxury brands!
Apologies for the long post and thank you for reading if you've made it this far! Would love to hear everyone's thoughts on which one you'd pick (this will be my only Cartier purchase for the year) if you were me, and why.
