I searched and couldn't find a thread for Acne Studios bags. I just ordered the mini Musubi bag (on sale!) but I wasn't able to find many reviews of this bag. Does anyone have experience with other Acne bags? I'll update when I receive the Musubi bag.

Oh nice, that's so exciting! I've been crushing on the mini musubi bag but haven't been able to pull the trigger quite yet since I've been waiting on a sale to roll around. If you don't mind me asking, where'd you manage to find yours?

Super excited for your thoughts on the bag once it arrives! I've not yet seen it in person and all I want to do is squish the bag

I have a Musubi camera bag from 2 years ago! The quality is good and the leather is squishy, the only problem I have with it is the zipper on mine is not very smooth. It's easy to dress up or down. I love the Musubi line in general, the designs are pretty unique, and mine is one of my most complimented bags  hope you enjoy yours!

I got mine from MyTheresa! They have 30% off the mini in Burgundy - the sale is still on and there's still stock. I had to pay shipping and tax, so overall I paid around C$1,000. Retail for that bag in Canada is C$1,400 before tax so I saved quite a bit. Shipping was SUPER fast, it arrived in 3 business days.

I just received mine today and I agree that the leather is super squishy and quite soft. I really like the look of your camera bag. I agree that their bags are really unique and not that commonly seen.

I've been eyeing the Musubi Midi shoulder bag for ages, but haven't seen one come up in a color I like! Glad to hear the leather is on par with the design!

I have the musubi camera bag in black. It is a super cute bag but the leather is weird IMO. Scratches on the black reveal a white underneath. Like it is some type of engineered leather.

That's super weird! I imagine leather is dyed so the black is probably not the natural colour of the leather, but natural colour of leather is also not white... so I have no idea

Okay guys, first impressions of my Mini Musubi in the burgundy:
  • The leather is very soft and squishy, and I like how it looks like smooth leather from a distance but it has some grain to it which will help prevent scratches
  • I thought the middle zippered section was going to be big enough to actually hold something of substance, but it's TINY. Definitely won't be able to fit a wallet in there, which means I won't be able to use this to travel (which is what I had hoped to do when I bought the bag)
  • The straps are really short for cross-body, even at the longest length. I am 5'6 and when I try to wear it cross-body, it sits really high on my waist, basically right up against my boobs
  • The thick straps sit flat on my body when I am wearing it slung on one shoulder, but if I wear it cross-body, because of how high it sits on me, the strap doesn't lie flat on my shoulder.
  • It is very very hard to change the length of the strap using the side grommets. I thought I was going to scratch the leather or accidentally squish marks into the bag when I was doing it.
  • The burgundy colour is really beautiful, and to me it's the perfect shade of burgundy
  • When worn cross-body, it doesn't sit flesh against my body and rather sticks out quite a bit. The bottom of the bag is very boxy.
That's all for now!

Overall I still really like the bag. It's very different from what I already own (primarily flap bags), and I also really love the colour. I tried it on with a few outfits and it seems to go really well.

Hi! Was wondering if anyone has any experience with the micro musubi (not the one with the bow on the front, but the micro size of the regular musubi with the side knots. I think some sites call them the same thing?). I'm typically a mini bag girl, but not a micro bag girl. I was originally eyeing the mini musubi but I think it might have a bit too much space for what I prefer for everyday (if anyone thinks otherwise, please let me know!) and I think the micro might best suit my needs. It seems like these bags are extremely roomy for their physical size, so I just wanted to confirm with anyone who actually owns or has experience with these bags. Thanks!
