I always wanted a 10 motif it was either the mother of pearl or this. But i'm not a careful person and i splash water everywhere. I was wondering if this is the right purchase. anyone else who bought it had regrets? or love their purchase? thanks

The Guilloché 10 Motif was my first necklace. I assumed it would be more carefree than MOP, which it is, but the lines on the motifs cause it to collect the tiniest amount of dust and debris. It also scratches up easily, but you’re likely going to be the only person to notice the scratches.I always wanted a 10 motif it was either the mother of pearl or this. Thanks for your input the heaviness concerns meThe Guilloché 10 Motif was my first necklace. It’s also quite heavy to wear, which becomes uncomfortable for me.
I do love my YG Guilloché pieces dearly, but if I could go back in time, I would have purchased the hammered gold instead of the Guilloché. Much more carefree.
Do you have a cleaner that works well for yours? This was my first 10 motif necklace and I love it. It’s just elegant and timeless. I love the sunburst lines and it reminds me of the engine turned designs in vintage Jewelry.
I don’t use a cleaner regularly as I usually take it off after every wear and wipe it with a soft cloth. I start from the dot in the middle and move it outwards to minimise any scratches (I read that the patterns are all hand carved so if you get scratches, it’s not possible to machine polish the deep scratches away). If it gets a little dull because I live in a humid climate, I use the Connoisseurs Ultra Soft Gold Jewellery Polishing Cloth (I think you can get it from Amazon). I hear what they do at VCA is use a little bit of water and very mild detergent and a soft toothbrush. I would err on the side of caution with water for any stone pieces. I’ll ask the next time I’m in the store and let you know if there is a brand of cleaner they use/recommend.Do you have a cleaner that works well for yours?
I thought I did, until I walked into a VCA last week, where they offered to clean my jewelry. The only Guilloché piece I was wearing was my bracelet. Once they gave it back to me, I was in awe of how shiny it was…it looked as close to brand new as it could. All this time I thought my cleaner was just fine

I feel the same way about my 10 motif guilloche. Since then, I have added a 10 motif in onyx, chalcedony and most recently hammered yellow gold. The guilloche gets used the least unfortunately. The Guilloché 10 Motif was my first necklace. Is it because of the heaviness?I feel the same way about my 10 motif guilloche. Since then, I have added a 10 motif in onyx, chalcedony and most recently hammered yellow gold. The guilloche gets used the least unfortunately.
To be honest, I find the heaviness ok (despite it being nearly twice as heavy as the stone motifs. Definitely significant but does not bother me). But it’s just extremely shiny that it doesn’t really go with my everyday clothing. I also don’t use it as a layering piece as scratches on the motif can’t be buffed out. It’s more a stand out piece that I wear out for dinner with the hubs. If I could go back in time I think I’d get the mop as my first 10 motif. I have it in the bracelet and it still looks the same as the day I got it. I think it’s just so classic vca.Is it because of the heaviness?

have you tried them on yourself in store? I wish I had. The 10 motif guilloche was a birthday present and i wish I had tried it on before receiving it as the mop was much more flattering on me. Good luck with whichever you decide upon, they are all lovely! ❤️Hmm i want something carefree and light
I agree with others - you should go to the boutique and try it on in person. You will have a better idea of what feels right to you.Hmm i want something carefree and light

You should be given a cleaner cloth each and every time. If they say it’s out of stock at the time of purchase, you tell them, remember you owe me one when it comes back in stockThis is so helpful - thank you!!!!
VCA finally gave me a cleaning cloth after my 10th purchase with them.
