about price of cape cod watch

Hi, ladies,

I just placed an order with Saks for a small cape cod watch with orange strap. It's included in their FF event so I got 25% off! yahoo! good deal. so if any body is interested in this watch, you can call them up.

I have a question on price though. From Hermes official website, the price is $1850. But Saks' price is $1775. Does anybody know why the price is different?

I have a feeling that some of the dept stores are still at pre-price-hike prices. For example, the scarves/shawls at Bergdorfs were at the old prices for about 2 months after they went up at H boutiques.

I think watch strap prices might vary according to the leather used too, just like the bags. What sort of leather did you order for your orange strap?

i think it's the most common one, calfskin strap.

Barenia straps - like on the website might be priced differently. Also, CC watches come in automatic and wind-up - the automatic ones are about 5-600 dollars more (trying to work out a conversion - I bought mine in the UK)

If you phone an Hermes store they should be able to tell you the current price. :s

On their website, the small (well, they call regualr) and medium are the same price ($1,850).
