ABCDior strap on a medium ladydior?

Hi! I have an ABCDior that I love, but I find don't reach for it too too much because it is small -- I absolutely love that it has the ACBDior strap though. I'm thinking about buying a medium in the same color and just using the ABCDior strap on it. Can anyone tell me if they've done this? How it would lie? Any issues or other thoughts on it?

My ABCDior is steel grey, so I also have to consider finding the medium in the same shade.

I think it's a good idea if you can get the same colour. Then you can switch the strap between both bags (use the MyABCDior for evenings).

It sounds like a good idea to me in general, but would you then use the small size lady Dior?

You may be better off buying a new medium lady Dior & buying a strap separately (in another color).

I have doubled up on dior bags. (Medium lady Dior for everyday & a miss dior as a clutch in the same color).

But I’m worried that your combination won’t make you like the small lady dior any better. And the small and medium are very similar.

It’s not the end of the world to have a less used bag in your closet. I certainly do. Definitely go for it if grey is your favorite bag color. Everyone is different.

(Sorry, I meant for instance, buying a medium navy or other color lady Dior & then buying a wide canvas strap that’s similar to the my abc strap) & either getting rid of the grey myabc or using it as an evening bag

I love my medium for everyday- but I don’t have young kids. I use the medium as a day bag (crook of my arm & thin strap stored inside in case I want crossbody option. So I love the thin strap. It’s small).

I’m also careful if it’s raining hard or snowing and I will be outdoors for a long time in inclement weather. (Then I switch to a hardier bag).

But, again , I have a lot of bags that I rotate. I have 3 lady Dior (powder pink, black, & latte). The pink is from 2017, black is 2020, & white is new. Plus, I have a ton of other bags from other brands.

No wear & tear on my diors except faint hardware scratches. I definitely use my black the most because it’s a dark color- even though I like black the least. (I take the black lady dior & a woc for a ton of trips, too).

If I could start my collection from scratch, I would buy a beige and a navy. (I adore the current shades).

Another option is a delite bag. I don’t have one- I don’t buy canvas bags usually. But there’s an acquaintance in my social group who has a gorgeous navy & white bag that she uses as a daily bag. I’ve heard that the canvas is hardy. And the strap is wide.
