Kate Spade A Question

Hello I am very new to buying expensive purses and I am currently interested in this Kate Spade bag but I`m not sure if this bag is considered an outlet piece or a boutique.

I read somewhere in the forum that you can tell the difference by the style number since an mff starts out with WKRU while boutique items begin with PXRU. However from looking at most of the items online most of their items begin with PXRU.

Moreover I do see the white cement/crisp linen being sold in Nordstrom online but not the pink one. I want to get the pink one.

It`s currently not on sale but I don`t know if the bag will be on sale during July 4.

This is a boutique bag -- and a beautiful one, at that! Most if not all of the bags on the main KS website are boutique; however, items sold during the various "Surprise Sales" tend to be outlet. (And you're right about the difference between PXRU and WKRU. It's a nifty trick to know!)

Thank-you so much for replying! I probably won`t buy it until somewhere in mid July when I get the money but during the surprise sales online will they list whether or not it will be PXRU or WKRU? Since right now everything on Kate Spade is now listed as PXRU.

As the post before mentioned, it is a boutique bag, however retailers such as Nordstrom or Saks don't always receive the same colours or sometimes they have exclusives that aren't available in the boutique. All surprise sale items will have a product code/item number that will allow you to determine if the item is from a boutique or an outlet. Majority of the surprise sale items are from outlet or seasonal collections though.
