A question about Sterling Silver

I'm looking at purchasing a SS necklace, however, it would not be worn until July. Would it go funny sitting in its packaging? It will be kept in a T&co pouch.

no, it shouldn't.....if it was to tarnish cleaning with a silver cloth would take care of it
