Hello Everyone!

This is a re-post, the original post was in the "Clubhouse" section under the "Multicolor Club" but I felt it might be a better idea to post it in the general forum so that someone may be able to help...

I just noticed something (possibly insignificant) but the multicolor alma's posted by other forum members had different stitching around the front zipper? I've attached the images of what I mean.

One of the images shows the stitching joining up with the stitching around the zipper, and the other image shows the stitching as separate

Did Louis Vuitton change the stitching pattern? Or is this a counterfeit issue?

Hi no they are both authentic bags, I believe the bag with the stitching all the way around is the newer model.

Do you know when they started doing the new stitching?

I found two multicolor alma's on Fashionphile with close date codes and different stitching.

The white one has joined stitching and was produced April 2004

The black one has separate stitching and was produced June 2004

Would love to know more about this

It was changed about mid 2004. The original models that didn't have the leather completely stitched had problems with the leather ends curling up, so to fix it LV started to stitch the entire piece of leather all the way around.
