A present for mom

Hello lovely ladies and gents,
I am looking to get a present for my mom and LV came to mind as a timeless choice. My mom doesn't really carry much in the way of designer, but I know she would appreciate a well made and functional bag.

I am not that familiar with LV styles myself, so recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

A few requirements
- relatively lightweight - no heavy embelishments
- sturdy (i think any of the canvases in damier/monogram fit the bill)
- cross-body or messenger style (very imp to my mom to keep her hands free)
- practical size (nothing too tiny, should fit wallet phone, checkbook, keys, etc; also nothing too big, my mom is petite!)
