I think the flame cut would look really interested as studs.

Last weekend I went into a Montblanc store in Las Vegas and was surprised to see that they, too, have developed their own new diamond cut. It's the shape of their star and while really beautiful, it doesn't seem so practical.

The flame-cut diamond watch is hideous.

I think the Montblanc diamond is cool, but I have the the booklet with the different diamond sizes. I would say the cut makes the diamond look half the size of a round brilliant. For example, the 3 carat looks like a 1.5. I would never consider it for an engagement ring, but it looks cute on earrings and such.

P.S. The star-shaped 4810 Montblanc rings are to die for, I love the design on them.

i love the cut (has a bit of an modified ashoka cut to me) but i do find the wwatch too old fashioned looking. those styles look lovely with cluster settings of brilliant pear marquise stones but for the flame i would have wanted more modernized look kwim?

the montblanc well it sure is unique but hideously overpriced and by overpriced i mean even higher than some of the traditional "name" jewellers. i rememebr a necklace for 2 or 3 million for that price one can get something more impressive and also with larger stones at cartier. really puzzled me as both cartier and montblanc are owned by the same company richmont
