Hello Forumers  Here are some quick and dirty shots of my new purchase which I've bought with the intent of a customization of sorts - watch this space on that part of it. In the meantime, here it is in all it's splendor, with an assortment of spare parts that will be used as part of this custom project.

Kelly Ado GM in Vert Fonce with PHW.
Probably the most unloved Kelly variation I know of. I don't want it as a dainty strapped backpack myself...

So: Adieu, ado... I've other plans for you. I felt a little reverence, unpicking the famous saddle stitch. The strength, weight of the thread is substantial.

Hermès and sympathetic Vuitton components.

Sitting by patiently, parts a-dangling. I'll update with the result of this custom project in a few weeks. The Kelly will not be harmed, scarred or defaced - I assure you! I love this beautiful green Ardennes, something like British racing green with the flash of palladium. I'm hoping the end result is an object of utility, first and foremost. A challenge, considering the bag's long history of refined, feminine grace.
