A lovely classic reveal

Had to get the Camellia Pin. It's stunning and the rhinestones are so sparkly in person. However, there is something really odd about this pin. The bail on the back is an open bail. The black camellia has a closed bail. You cannot use an open bail. It will fall off any necklace. What was chanel thinking? Totally useless bail!

The pin was $575 purchased at Chanel Boutique. They had two pins. One looked like a closed bail. They just came into the boutique today. I touched the other bail and it fell off. Great quality. I'm sure this brooch has a lead base. It's very soft. Lead was used many years ago in costume jewelry. If anyone knows for sure, chime in.
