Some of you may remember a thread I started a few weeks ago asking for advice on whether to cancel a bracelet order for the 5 motif blue agate I ordered by mistake or keep the order.
In the end I cancelled it and decided to visit VCA during a planned trip to Switzerland as I wanted to see it in person before buying and silently also hoped for a hammered or Guilloche bracelet.
Shortly before the price increase, a 6 motif hammered bracelet appeared in the e- boutique. I had never seen it there before and decided to order it as getting a 5 motif in a store would be a gamble and I also have no store close. Another reason was that the 6 motif is rose gold, which I prefer, and also the length would be fine without shortening.
And then the wait began, the order on the website said it was supposed to arrive on 31 May.
It didn't though, no shipping confirmation and no other message from VCA. So I called them to learn they have a new system and the order will take 5-7 working days to be shipped as they are now looking for the item in other locations.
After checking the e-mail I had received after ordering I saw it stated 5-7 days as well, but also 31 May...
I found it confusing but trusted the SA and waited patiently.
10 days passed without anything happening.
I sent an e-mail to CS asking when I could expect shipping. Another two days passed with no reply, so I called CS. Was told again, new system in place but they would check why it took so long, maybe a system issue, and get back to my, probably until late afternoon the same day.
No reply from VCA that day, not the next day, not the day after the next day. I called CS again, already thinking, I will never receive this, something went wrong, and I was slightly annoyed that they didn't get back to me.
I was told again, new system, several customers had similar issues, they will check again and explained that they had not called me yet as they had also not heard back from the departement concerned.
At that point, I decided I will try to forget about this and keep my expectations low. Thankfully I had selected pay later and Klarna usually only charges once the seller ships the item, so I was not worried.
We had also cancelled our plans to visit Switzerland due to the floods in the southern parts of Germany and I thought, well, then maybe I am not supposed to get a VCA bracelet right now.
VCA sent me an e-mail last week apologizing and saying they had technical issues and my bracelet is supposed to ship around 25 June.
And to my surprise, I received a shipping confirmation yesterday and today, exactly four weeks after placing the order, I have finally received it
It was well worth the wait, the packaging is beautiful and so is the bracelet.
I am also pleasently surprised that they added a cleaning set.
