I have a TPF confession to make. I went a little bonkers from Oct to Dec last year. I am always irrational when it comes to bags, but not usually THIS irrational, so even I surprised myself!

So yes, as specified in this thread's title, I do solemnly promise to be better behaved in 2013!

Everyone ready? Let's go on a little Bal ride! ;)

Guilty Pleasure #1

In Oct, I sold my Sanguine Flat Clutch. Loved the style, loved the colour, but hardly used her. I think in the 1.5 years I had her, we only went out 5 times. So I sold her. And immediately missed her! So within 2 weeks, I found another FC in another gorgeous colour and closed the deal! Ooo, I'm loving this one as much as Sanguine!! The leather is wrinkly and marble-y and I think it'll go with warm AND cool colours. Am in love! I doubt she'll get used much but I've come to terms with that now, haha. Def keeping this one.

For the longest time, I'd see reveals of Lagon on TPF but they did nothing for me until I saw one IRL. Then I knew why I never considered Lagon. It's so hard to photograph! Many photos show the blue in Lagon but it really has so much more green in it. It's a real complex turquoise-teal colour and I couldn't capture its true colour. Sigh! I truly believe this is a colour you gotta see in real life. And it's my fav colour from the 2012 palette. Lovelovelove :heart::heart::heart:! If only it came with GGH, but I'm happy with RGGH. :biggrin:

My pics of Lagon are still a bit off the true colour. It's not so blue. Imagine turning up the green by 15-20%. I find that it looks blue when placed next to green, and looks more green when placed next to blue.

Guilty Pleasure #3

So one of my favourite blues is Officier. I like the purplish undertones that shine through when the light hits it. Lovely! After the Automne and Lagon, I thought I was done for 2012. Then I found an Officier RH PT another TPFer was letting go. Argh. What should I do?!? I've never had a PT so I wasn't sure. I decided to go for it, but I think I'll have to let this one go because it's too east-west for me. Will keep hunting for a city!!

WOW! Beautiful purchases! Such great comparison shots to show the color of Lagon. Yes, photos can really be so inaccurate with some of these colors. The wrinkles on that bag are IN-SANE!

I was like you with the FC. I maybe took by 5 FCs out like 5 times the whole time I had them. They look great but you really have to be a wristlet user to make it worth keeping. Hope you take your Autumne out more often. She is yummy! Drag that DH, even sicking and screaming, to a date!

Totally can relate to the PT situation. I look at PTs and think how nice to have a little extra room but I tried one and the east-west just didn't feel comfy to me. I definitely prefer a more square-ish shape, like City.

hrhsunshine... You are SO right. I can't sustain this irrational shopping behaviour. I promise to be better in 2013! Good point about the FC. If you were here, I'd drag YOU and your EC out on a date! But seeing as that's not possible and the hb is travelling again, I think I'll bring the FC to work next week! :graucho: I'm with you on the East-West. I do like the square-ish city shape a lot!

Okay... back to the reveal... 2 more to go!

Guilty Pleasure #4

So that's 3 bags in 3 weeks. I mean, how much worse could I get right? My wallet was by now, shivering in fear. Then the TPFer who sold me the Officier asked if I was keen on her FBF. Whut!! FBF!? Oh yes please!

So I said "yes", and now I'm glad I did. I love the longer strap, the soft leather, the antique brown colour of the leather. This one's here to stay for sure!!

One month and 4 bags later, I thought I was safe. I mean, what are the odds of finding another bag I couldn't say no to? Well, the odds were pretty high apparently. I found out that my local
Bal boutique was having a sale and some bags were going for up to 38% off. I thought i 'd just drop by and sniff around. Who knew I'd sniff this out?!? It was around 38% off. How could I say no?!

To be better behaved maybe means 2 purchase more in 2013?:smile::smile: I made similar wish at the beginning of 2012 but didn't work:smile:. Congrats on the awesome babies especially the 38% off G21! Big success wonderful deal!!
