I visited my favorite antique jewelry shop and found these. They're not Tiffany Dogwood earrings but they look fabulous on me and made me smile -- what any piece should do! And considering post-Irene, I spent 4 days without power and another 12 without hot water (lighting + transformer = power surge that fried my surge protector, computer, router AND circuit board of the hot water heater), I earned these. Or at least, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Thanks Candice, Ame and NC. I'm so glad to be back in the 21st Century after living like a pioneer for a week.

Here's a lovely post-Irene picture. There was at least one of these on every street, which meant not only was there no power, but roads were closed because driving/walking was dangerous. I'm so glad THAT'S over!

Darling...if it's not the kitty-cats, now the blame goes to Irene. Always an excuse. LOL!
