So I went to the boutique yesterday and tried on both the regular Dinky and the Dinky 24. While my things fit better in the 24, I could not decide how I felt about the chain strap. It felt as if it was almost as heavy as the bag. On the regular sized one, I liked the option of having the plain leather strap and being able to buy the the chain strap additionally. I am so torn. How do you all feel about the chain strap? Do you find it heavy? is it cumbersome? Do you worry about it marking up a white shirt or getting hot in the sun?

I was really disappointed to see the leather strap not available on the dinky 24's. I am not a fan of chain straps on any bags, especially the smaller ones. And yes, depending on what you put in it the bag can be heavier. I tried it on yesterday and it was noticeably heavier with the chain strap. I never had issues with color transfer with chain straps so you should probably be fine.

If space is very important, then I would go for the 24. If you have some larger bags, it may be worth downsizing a bit and get the regular dinky with the leather strap. Saving $100 as well.

I love the idea and look of a chain strap, but ultimately for me it's too heavy and clunky. I love the uber thin strap of the basic Dinky and the option to get a chain strap too. But the thin strap is longer and better for me for cross body, and you can double it up in a snap, too.
