I am planning on making my next big purchase soon, but a couple of things are in the way/making me think twice and wanted to get your .02 cents. I have decided finally on what cartier watch I want. and I needed about 1300 more in cash to put towards it for the rest. I really wanted a cartier watch for years. My deal with myself right now is that until I get rid of the stuff I've been meaning to list on ebay, I can't use cash. So the first couple of items I'm about to list ideally were to go towards the watch so I can get it.
After that I was going to get a RG or maybe the christmas malachite vca pendant and call it a day for a while and get a bag the next time I had some extra $$. (And yes I know I could break my rule and take it from my earnings but I really want to be good and NOT do that!)

I'm still stuck with 1600 at TIffany. I looked at the enchant pendant but I don't think I'd be happy with it. Even if I had a watch I still desire a good pendant or right hand ring. the soleste double halo .4 would be about 5k- the 1600, which is still a lot. I don't want to use the Tiffany credit just to use it, I want to make sure its a piece I will not get tired of. I also looked at rings and they had some in the 4-6.5k range that was interesting too. And I've always considered getting my right hand ring from Tiffany.

But realistically I cant get all of this right now. I can't get the watch out of my head but I know realistically with the crazy Tiffany price inceases and with how popular yellow diamonds are becoming... it would be wise to put what I have for the watch towards the Soleste. (Be it a pendant or a ring). But I can't get the watch out of my mind and I loved the LV bags I tried on. I know some of you lovely ladies are not bag/LV fans, but I do thoroughly enjoy the emp. leather line and have been dying for an artsy or a luminuse. What would you do?

Get the watch...save the Tiffany credit. Save and buy the Soleste pendant with new funds. I think you'll be happier with the pendant rather then Soleste ring, considering the carat size of the yellow diamond. Perfect carat weight for a pendant, JMHO!
Put the LV bag on the back burner for awhile and get the jewelry dilemma squared away.
Baby steps, my darling!

Watch first, anything else second. It's practical (can tell the time, therefore more useful) and Cartier watch is considered as part of jewelry so it will make more sense to get it first.

This thread is really helping with my own decision making process. I've seen some gorgeous things I had no idea I wanted pop up on the secondhand market recently and it's taking all of my willpower to keep from throwing money at my screen, but in the long run it would take me farther away from my long term purchases.

I agree with everyone else, save the credit, something will pop up you really want... and the watch is totally worth the wait.
