Hi! I got my long awaited Cartier love in RG and also a vintage Alhambra GMOP pendant last year (which I absolutely love) - along with a sweet carnelian RG bracelet and earrings because it's well, a slippery slope!

I've had my eye on another bracelet to add to my stack for awhile, along with VA WMOP earrings (which, who knows when they will be available next?!).

Was a little spooked by possible price increases at VCA and Cartier (but both boutiques told me none coming up anytime soon) and so I went browsing today - and am torn between these bracelets!

The Alhambra bracelets have historically spoke to me more, but after realising how much of a pain it is to constantly put the sweet bracelets on/off (since you can't shower with the stones etc) - I got attracted to the idea of the JUC. I mostly WFH and workout a lot so realistically I only wear my love most days. I would love to have another piece to wear 24/7.

I tried the small JUC on - it's really nice.

And then I went next door to VCA, to my surprise, they had the RG hammered 6 motif in stock!! (Along with 5 motif WMOP which I haven't seen in a while). I really like how the hammered sweet stacks with my sweet carnelian, the colour is beautiful, and is also carefree.

I will also add that I have this beautiful bracelet as well which stacks well (it's RG with white jade and some gems). I don't do this stack enough..

Which should I get? Or should I get NONE and enjoy this triple stack for now, and hold out for a pair of WMOP VA earrings which I will want at some point?

Honestly, I love my 6-motif RG Alhambra bracelet. It's my absolute favourite bracelet. Since I've gotten it, I've never taken it off, save for a few occasions to get my SA to clean it while I'm visiting the boutique. I shower and swim with it. It is such a carefree piece, and because of the size of the motifs, it's not too overwhelming, whether worn as part of a stack, or individually. I tend to wear it with my diamond tennis bracelet, but nothing else. But I used to stack it with my small YG Cartier Love.

According to my SA, it rarely comes into stock, so if scarcity matters to you, that's something to consider.

Hope that helps!

This is super useful, thank you! I agree re look and it just stacks so well with the sweet carnelian RG too.

The SA actually told me don't worry, you can order it in the future - at least you've tried the bracelet now and won't be ordering it without having seen the item. Super tempting but since there's apparently no price increase here (it went up by 1% on 1st Jan but that was because sales tax in my country went up) I might wait because I just made some other large purchases last week...! Hmmm

Between the hammered RG alhambra vs No-just hold out.

If you've truly fallen in love with the hammered RG and want to buy before a potential price increase, I'd choose the hammered RG above the others. It is the most practical and solid gold (more bang for your buck if you like gold more than MOP).

I'm not a fan of taking a more delicate bracelet on and off very often, especially when they are chain bracelets with tiny clasps. Too fussy for me.

Personally, small JUC isn't my thing. And knowing I have high energy dogs, if I wore it, I can see it getting pulled and warped by a dog leash on a walk easily. Small JUC strength and shape retention is much discussed on this forum, but I'd like to err on the safer side and would prefer a regular JUC than small/narrow size.

However, if you just want to buy something before a price increase and don't love any of the items, I would wait.

Just my 2 cents though! Good luck and happy shopping!

Buy the 6-motif hammered bracelet only and only if you absolutely LOVE it. I would NOT recommend buying it just because there’s an impending price increase (unless it was already something you knew 100% you wanted to buy) or because of how difficult it is to get the piece. Been there, done that and would not let myself get sucked into that vortex. If in a few months or years down the line you truly want the piece, consider that ‘extra’ money you would pay well worth the peace of mind of knowing with 100% confidence you wanted this piece.
If vintage mop earrings is what you truly want, I would say wait for it and buy nothing right now. No matter what you get in the interim to fill that void, it will not do the trick. You will still be wanting the VA earrings.

Wholeheartedly agree with this! Get what you truly love and not the hype. Take your time to feel out which pieces you really love because you might change your mind and regret it later on.

I personally am not a fan of wearing chain bracelets with bangles due to scratching issues but if that’s a non issue for you then of course stack to your heart’s desire.

@lill_canele @eternallove4bag @tenshix thank you for all the great insights and advice!
Great reminder and completely agree about buying something you truly love - else you'd just end up wanting something else very quickly (although, getting something you love also makes you want more lol).

I definitely want a pair of VA earrings AND one more bracelet for my stack down the road (and the hammered 6 motif speaks to me more than the JUC design wise, but unsure about utility and clinking from wearing 24/7 -- I do a lot of hot yoga and workouts so things clinking around would annoy me quite a bit, I wear a wristband above my love when doing MMA type workouts but my love still comes out all the time lol)
-- but do I really need it now? The part that's holding me back is also spending so much in a short time. After sleeping on it - I won't get it now, but still need to figure out what best to get down the road!!
