So I just want some advice in behalf of someone else who's considering a 5 stone ring.
They have been looking at these rings and finally chosen one they like a 5 stone white gold with tcw of 0.75 vs2 clarity excellent cut colour g.
Their ring is is i (4.25) the price of the ring is £1188.
However she's also considering if it's worth getting it in a 1tcw instead with same specs the price is £1566.
So the jump is significant but is it worth it from going to 5 0.15 pointers to 0.20.
Would it be significantly bigger in size?

Thanks in advance for the help!

Who graded the stones to know if they're "excellent" cut? What report does it come with?

The size change on the hand will be minimal as far as mm spread, so I don't really find it "worth" the added expense but only she can make that final determination.

All their stones are graded by Gia but if the stones are lower than 0.25cw then they are not certified.
Iv seen some of their stones are the so sparkly but didn't have a chance to see the 5 stone rings.
If she had a larger ring size I would say to her get the 1 cwt but cause her ring size is small maybe 0.75 is still suitable for a stand alone ring?

If her ring size is small that will help make this ring look larger. :)

Can she (or the Jeweller) take a photo with one on each hand? My personal feeling is that the 1 carat tdw will be nicer, but I would make the decision for aesthetic - not investment - purposes.

It's a small price difference, really, for jewellery so she should buy whichever makes her most happy. For such an important purchase I wouldn't want to regret it later.

The larger stones are more likely to be nicer, however at her ring size, she could encounter discomfort from the width of the ring likely hitting between her fingers. Has she tried both on to see which she prefers in person? I agree that taking a photo of each on her hand will be helpful in making a final decision.

I will try to get a picture of both she said she prefers the bigger diamonds (which I knew she would :p lol) but both cover the top of her finger and look ok as a stand alone ring. The one carat was more than she initially wanted to spend which is why she's hesitant

I think that's a pretty significant price increase for only a 1/4ct bump, but ultimately, "worth it" is personal, and you're only getting your money's worth if it's exactly what you want.

She's considering the other store but hesistant as she hasn't seen their rings but they do have a quick and easily return policy.
Do you think she should go cheaper option?

She's pretty set on getting the larger carat (1tcw)

As long as she can get her money back and isn't limited to store credit it may be worth a look. How are their settings crafted? I'd ask that of each manufacturer--are they cast, die-struck, what process do they use? It's worth the money for die-struck, if the one she's already met with uses that vs the new one casting.
